Academics in the morning prepare students to achieve excellence in the coming school year and build a solid foundation for students who plan on taking the gifted and talented program tests (PACE/GT).
Daily stories that illustrate good character teach students integrety, compassion and respect among many others. This practice encourages and builds good character for students’ long term success and sets a positive stage for them to excel.
Our academic curriculum provides a condensed version of a full year’s academic courses during the summer.
New Star’s outstanding summer programs have helped students pass accelerated programs to skip kindergarten, pass GT/PACE tests in September, and achieve top scores in diagnostic tests when they go back to school.
This curriculum is designed to expand students’ knowledge in geography, history, and social studies.
Students will also study different types of literature and present their weekly project to their class on Fridays.
